The Institute of National Remembrance - Commission of the Prosecution of Crimes against the
Polish Nation (IPN) was established by the Polish Parliament on December 18th, 1998 with a
special bill. The Institute was created to address issues which are considered essential
to the legislative power in Poland, primarily to preserve the memory of the losses
which were suffered by the Polish Nation as a result of the World War II and the
post-war period; patriotic traditions of fighting against occupants,
Nazism and Communism; citizens' efforts to fight for an independent Polish State,
in defense of freedom and human dignity.

To execute IPN's mission, Institute conducted a survey „Statistical analysis of historical awareness of junior high and secondary schools students”, which was filled by approx. 15 000 students. Impessa's challenge was to digitalize and statistically analyze results of surveys having extremely tight schedule with 1 month deadline.
For the sake of successful accomplishment of the projects in time, Impessa's Experts had really tough task to brainstorm, plan, and efficiently organize surveys processing. To make the digitalization possible, special, dedicated solution of distributed processing was invented. Impessa organized survey scanning and identification, created Survey System, organized support, auditing mechanisms, and paralellized almost all processes. These actions helped to tighten the project's critical path to the minimum possible. Finally, thank to perfect management and organization Impessa was able to meet the deadlines and project was successfully accomplished on time.
